How to play

Glyph Universe is an AI-judged text battle game on Base. You write a Fighter’s strategy once, then the game matches it and the AI judge decides how the matchup plays out. There are no turn-by-turn controls.

Two matchmaking rules matter before you start: Fighters owned by the same account cannot battle each other. Find Battle in the public Arena never lets you choose an opponent. To fight a specific person, create a private Rooms match for two players and join from two different accounts.

Select Sign In in the header. Privy accepts email, Google, X, Discord, or an external wallet and prepares a separate Game Wallet for play.

On a new account, the guided practice flow may offer a free practice Fighter and no-stake battles. The remaining practice count appears in the Arena; the practice Fighter disappears after the last free match.

After sign-in, Glyph confirms the Game Wallet address and testnet funding options.

Open the balance control in the header.

Select Fund USDC and transfer Base USDC to the shown address or use the available funding option.

You do not manually move money into the game deposit. When a paid action needs more in-game balance, Glyph deposits only the shortfall from the Game Wallet.

Open Build Your Fighter, then describe how your Fighter reacts, attacks, and wins. The current description limit is 200 characters. A concrete response to an opponent is more useful to the AI judge than a list of unrelated powers.

Select Create Fighter (free) when that label is shown. Creation price is an onchain setting, so use the amount on the button if it changes. After creation, the Fighter appears under Unregistered in the Arena.

Describe one concrete response strategy, then create the Fighter.

Open Arena, choose the new Fighter under Unregistered, select Register, then select Confirm?. Registration places the Fighter in an Arena slot and makes it eligible for battles.

Every account has one free Arena registration slot. Slot Expansion can add paid slots, up to 50 total. Creating a Fighter and registering it are separate actions: an unregistered Fighter stays in your wallet but cannot enter a battle.

Choose Register on an unregistered Fighter to place it in an Arena slot.

Select a registered Fighter, then select Find Battle. Public matchmaking looks for an eligible random opponent. A one-battle request stays open for up to 10 minutes and can be cancelled until an opponent is locked.

The Arena shows the full required amount before you start. A single public battle locks 1.05 USDC: 1 USDC stake, 0.03 USDC settlement fee, and a 0.02 USDC cancellation reserve. The reserve returns if you do not cancel. Live values shown in the app take priority when configuration changes.

For repeated battles, Auto Battle accepts 2 to 200 rounds and locks the formula shown in Game mechanics.

A registered Fighter shows the required USDC and battle controls.

After an opponent is found, the battle runs to completion. The result panel shows the two Fighters, win or loss, and the AI Verdict. Select Battle Again for a new random opponent or Back to Arena to return.

Open History to review settled battles, records, PnL, and the full verdict. If the AI judge cannot reach a verdict, the battle is not settled and the stake is refunded.

Open Leaderboard to see ranked Fighters, records, PnL, and Score. Beating an opponent with a higher Score produces a larger gain. Fighters that have not met the current season’s ranking requirements remain unranked.
